Sunset Rubdown, Stadiums And Shrines II
This song smashes forwards, stamps slowly, waltzes itself around the room barging the other dancers out of the way. It sung like Spencer has been dumped the moment before he came to the stage and now feels like he is in a film.

Venetian Snares, Ketsarku Mozgalom
The combination of strings and electronics is not a new idea. However, Aaron Funk makes such a perfect blend that it sounds like he and his laptop are the fifth and sixth members of a string quartet. The classical sounds and single vocal sample he uses expand the breakcore emotional range past terror and confusion to melancholy and regret and hopelessness. Get the whole album, as the tracks work even better together.

The Black Heart Procession, On Ships Of Gold
Floaty, sad, with a weird cronish sort of voice that comes in part way through.

B. Fleischmann, Melancholie
This song is a forty-five minute recording of a semi-improvised cover of some Schubert piano minatures. It’s so terribly mournful.
